Car Buying Questions

Drivers License
For Car Loans

A car buying question from Jessica in Bethlehem...

Do I have to have a drivers license to be able to qualify for a car loan?

Answer:

Hi Jessica,

In what might be a surprising answer for some, no you do not always need a drivers license to qualify for a car loan.

I have multiple lenders, for both good and bad credit, that do not require a drivers license in order to approve an auto loan and/or to finalize and fund the loan.

The major requirements with all auto lenders is that you be 18 years of age and that you maintain full coverage insurance for the duration of the loan.

Of course, this doesn't mean that a no drivers license car loan will be easy to get approved for and you will still need to qualify for the lenders (the ones that do auto loans with no drivers license) program.
Hope this helps,
Justin
