Stan's Headlight Assembly
by: Justin
(Editor in Chief)

Hi Stan,

Unfortunately, no. Sealed beams, lenses and light bulbs are all on the small list of non covered parts. I can't think of an extended warranty company that will cover these types of repairs/replacements. Not sure why warranty companies won't, but it's almost always the case.

Did they already replace it or is the part on order? If it's just on order, then I'd cancel and get the one in Amarillo.

Hope this helps,
Justin

2006 Trailblazer Headlight Assembly
by: Stan T.

The headlight assembly had to be replaced in my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. The service manager decided first to put in a bulb and fuse, at a cost of $80.00, just below the $100 deductible.

When the manager was told that the bulbs continually burned out, he replaced the headlight assembly and says it isn't covered by warranty.

They charged $350, yet we can buy the same assembly at a dealership in Amarillo for $125. Is this covered under the extended warranty?
