Thanks for sharing your story. It's nice to see when someone takes the time to share a positive story and not just the negative.

It sounds like either you or your son had read my Car Buying Guide and it sounds like you went very prepared. Good Job!!!

As you mentioned, you have to be prepared as a consumer or else whatever might go wrong could have possibly been easily avoided and the consumer has to take some responsibility for that.

I just recently bought a vehicle At CarMax in Orlando,Fl. It was the absolute best experience I've ever had buying a car....hands down! The salesman didn't try to sell me something I didn't want,in fact he tried to find me the vehicle that I was looking for with absolutely no pressure. These guys know their ****.They were even willing to ship me a vehicle that I was interested in at minimal cost. The salesperson was totally competent and friendly to boot!I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a quality used car.If you're looking for low end used cars you won't find them there.These people will also help you finance if you need to with no hassles,it just depends on your credit...5 STARS WITHOUT A DOUBT.

This is super. Once I get some reading the indoubitably stellar reviews about Carmax. (Obviously?) America's premier car dealership.
As a matter of fact you needn't educate yourself about Carmax from anywhere else BUT here. Many, frankly more often than not, other sites have very poor reviews. This site offers you more than just earnest reviews, but show the best reviews. Don't waste your time reading negative things.
Now as a bonus you can also go from Carmax reviews straight to using the link on the very same page (in a review) to purchase yourself a college essay, dissertation and far more.
Don't bother writing your own papers for school or work. Screw wisdom, conscientiousness and pride in your work ethic and any moral compass. Been done friends, hit the bar and just buy your needed paper.
In earnest, I'm pretty sure that this webpage is in itself an error, of sorts.
Sure, it's a good way to make an income. I'd say "not a bad way to make a buck (or few), but I couldn't. That would not be accurate, much like most of this page.
Friends, there's far better ways to earn a living. We all know, or most of us do, that earning a living and making a buck are two very distinctly different things. I guess it comes down to values, in more ways than one. There's value in your efforts which produces valuable results. Both monetarily but more importantly value of your character and reputation. Choices, we have do many of little and big ones in life. But each choice, little or big, add up to big results.
Imo, spend more time reading about Carmax. Watch some of the undercover videos available as well as some of the investigative news stories and consumer reports. This being the internet you'll always find both good and bad results, some results written can be manufactured to make a particular sponsored site cause the company to appear favourable and often invalidate people with poor reviews by stating the writer was "uneducated" sit the process. That's distasteful and one red flag.
Check multiple sites, weigh the pros and cons and see what results you summarize for yourself. The BBB had great info as do other sites. Most of all, trust your gut. While Carmax states it's differences from other dealerships, remember what is advertised is just that, an expensive ad, marketing only what they state their truth is.
My experience wasn't impressive. But expected. As with any business the bigger the bottom line the better for the company. This is a capitalist, free market economy you should expect that.
What you shouldn't accept is pressure, missing options and dubious claims about your trade in. My suggestion is to go I'm not asking for a trade, claims of "this deal only good now. Our sudden food in price when tut get you to walk away. In my many experiences the one that's a dead give away is the "Let me go adj my manager, I doubt it, but...". Then what's what'd'ya know? Bam! Just for you "my friend", "We don't usually do this". Sure, I may have been born yesterday, but I was born early in the morning. Best of luck.
